Rodney Yee’s Ultimate Power Yoga Workout


Ok, I’ve never been a huge fan of yoga. I played softball and basketball growing up. I knew how to train. I always went to the gym to do cardio and weight lifting to tone my body. I always equated movement with workout. So I never even considered trying yoga. Then I saw that P90X had Yoga-X… and I was not a fan. I became bored, and shut it off and did some cardio.

What changed my mind about yoga? Well, P90X’s Cardio-X forces you to do yoga as a warm up. When I started actually holding all of the yoga poses correctly, I saw how it IS a workout. I felt it! And while I know pilates is not the same as yoga, I became a fan of pilates and that made me want to try out yoga as well.

So, I’m a total yoga newbie, but I am going to start incorporating it into my workouts. Yoga is known to improve your flexibility, strength, and balance. Check out the workout below by professional yoga instructor Rodney Yee
